PC Data Port Interface
The C-1000A Modem Unit includes an interface that enables a standard PC to
access the Iridium Data Services for connection to the Internet or a corporate
network, thus allowing the user to browse the web, send and receive email and
transfer files. This capability requires the purchase of an optional Iridium Data Kit and
the installation of the included software on the user’s PC. Iridium Data Services can
be run on a computer using the Windows XP, 95, 98, NT 4.0, 2000 and ME
Operating Systems.
This interface is available via the DB-9 connector on the C-1000A Cabin Unit or can
be wired directly from the C-1000A Modem Unit to other convenient locations around
the aircraft.
