Installation instructions

Calibrating the navigation system
automatically

To calibrate the navigation system
automatically:

In the "

Installation

" menu, select

and confirm the "

Auto calib.

"

menu item.
Follow the instructions on the
display.

Notes:

Drive the speciﬁ ed route using
major or country roads. The spec-
iﬁ ed distance of the route to be
driven only represents an average
value. It can also be shorter or, in
case of detrimental conditions,
signiﬁ cantly longer. The ﬁ nal ﬁ ne
calibration is not complete until
approx. 50 km.

A bar display appears during the
calibration travel. You can press
the

ESC

button

A

to exit the

menu. It does not cancel the cali-
bration which continues to run
in the background. If you call up
the menu again, the bar display
shows the progress of the cali-
bration.

After a successful calibration
travel, the display shows "

The

system is now calibrated

". The

navigation system is now opera-
tional.

If the display shows "

Calibration

unsuccessful

", you must repeat

the calibration.

To calibrate the navigation system
manually:

In the "

Installation

" menu, select

Manual calib.

"

menu item.

The distance for the calibration
travel is displayed.

Change the distance of the cali-
bration travel, if required, by
turning the menu button

Next, press the

Note:

The distance must measure be-
tween 100 and 500 metres. The
adjusted distance must exactly
match the measured distance!

Press the

OK

button

to start

the manual calibration.
Drive the speciﬁ c distance which
you set on an exactly measured
route. Do not drive faster than
30 km/h.
Press the

OK

button

to end

the manual calibration.
After a successful calibration
travel, the display shows "

". The

navigation system is now opera-
tional.

If the display shows "

unsuccessful

", you must repeat

the calibration.
