Defi ning the type of road
To disable certain types of roads
from the route calculation:

You can block the selected type
of road for the route calculation
(symbol crossed out in red) or
release it (symbol not crossed
out).

": Here you can de-
fi ne whether motorways should
be used or avoided during des-
tination guidance.

disallow toll roads for the des-
tination guidance.

Ferry
": Here you can allow or
disallow ferries.

or disallow roads which are
blocked in certain seasons,
such as Alpine passes.

disallow tunnels.
Note:
If you exclude a certain type of
road from the route calculation
which would result in long de-
tours, this setting is ignored dur-
ing the route calculation.
Defi ning an optimum route
You can defi ne the optimum route
yourself by defi ning the relationship
of a time-optimised to distance-op-
timised route. The factory setting
is 60 (fast) to 40 (short).
To defi ne the optimum route:
In the "

" menu, mark
and confi rm the "
Adjust optimum
"
menu item.
