CHAPTER 4: Operation and Configuration
Background
Determines the background color of the menus and windows.
Possible choices are 0 (black), 1 (blue), 2 (light green), 3
(cyan), 4 (red), 5 (magenta), 6 (yellow), and 7 (white). The
factory-default value is 1 (blue).
Highlight
Determines the color of the highlight bar appearing in the
menus and windows. Possible choices are 0 through 7 as listed
above. The factory-default value is 4 (red).
Text
Determines the color of the text appearing in the menus and
windows. Possible choices are 0 through 7 as listed above. The
factory-default value is 6 (yellow).
Delay Time
The time in seconds that elapses after you press [Print Screen]
before the
SERVSWITCH ELITE
window appears on screen.
The factory-default value is 0 (zero, no delay). You can increase
this delay if you find the window becoming a distraction when
you perform simple computer-switching operations at the
keyboard.
Order
Determines the order in which the computers are listed in the
menus and windows: numerically by port number (the factory-
default value), or alphabetically by assigned name.
NOTE
Before you take a formerly autonomous single
Switch and attach it as a slave to a master Switch, it
is very important that you set Order to “PORT” on
that slave Switch; the system could malfunction if
you don’t. In general, we recommend that you reset
any formerly autonomous Switch to its factory
defaults (see the note on page 47) before installing it
as a slave.
6. When you’ve completed all your desired adjustments, press [Enter] to save
the changes to NVRAM. You can press [Esc] (escape) at any time prior to
pressing [Enter] to cancel the operation and retain the previous settings.
