Usage

By default, the maximum security timeout value available on the BlackBerry device is 60 minutes.

Dependencies

The BlackBerry device uses this IT policy rule only if the Password Required rule is set to True.

The BlackBerry device user can set any timeout value that is lower than the maximum value unless you set the User Can
Change Timeout IT policy rule to False.

Use the Set Password Timeout IT policy rule to set a specific timeout value.

Description

This rule specifies the minimum number of characters required for the BlackBerry® device password. The permitted range
is 4 through 14 characters.

Default setting

The default setting is a null value.

Dependencies

The BlackBerry device uses this IT policy rule only if the Password Required IT policy rule is set to True.

If the FIPS Level IT policy rule is set to 2, by default, the BlackBerry device requires a minimum password length of 5 characters.
