SECTION 7

Firmware Upgrade

The firmware installed in your DVR will probably never need to be changed. If new firmware is released, however, upgrading the
firmware in your DVR may be recommended by DIGIOP.

The general instructions for upgrading firmware are included in this section. For additional information, specific instructions, and to
obtain a firmware upgrade file, contact DIGIOP Support at:

1.877.972.2522.

To upgrade the firmware in your DVR:

1.

Obtain the firmware update file from DIGIOP Support. The firmware upgrade file is usually named:
“

apph_xxxxxx.bin

” where “xxxxxx” represents the revision level of the firmware.

2.

Plug a USB flash drive into a PC and format it for FAT32, if necessary.

3.

Create a new directory on the flash drive named “

upgrade

”.

4.

Copy the firmware file to the

upgrade

directory on the flash drive.

5.

Disconnect the flash drive from the PC and plug it into a USB port on the DVR.

6.

Open the SETUP menu on the DVR, then open the SECURITY tab.

7.

Select the

User Password

button.
