Your video is OK in low-resolution mode, but you can’t get into high-resolution
mode.

If you’re using XGA, you
must
use coaxial cables (see
Section 4.1.3
and
Appendix B
).

Check your video driver or control panel. It might not be set up correctly for
your desired resolution.
One or more of your CPUs lock up when you load Windows 3.x.
The usual cause of this problem is that the affected CPUs are set to load a Logitech
or other type of mouse driver when Windows starts up. Set the CPU to load the
generic Microsoft mouse driver instead.
The ServSwitch Professor doesn’t work with your IBM ThinkPad.
The ServSwitch Professor supports only “stream mode” (continuous) mouse data.
It doesn’t support the “prompt mode” (burst-on-request) method for handling
mouse data that some older IBM ThinkPad models use, regardless of whether the
ThinkPad is connected to the Professor directly or through a docking station (and
see the next paragraph.
The ServSwitch Professor doesn’t work with your docking station.
The ServSwitch Professor does not support most docking stations for portable
computers.
The ServSwitch Professor doesn’t work with your dongle-protected software.
The ServSwitch Professor does not support most keyboard-line dongles (the
devices required to be inserted into the keyboard line by some software for copy
protection).
