It is in the user's interest to ensure continued product immunity against mains born transients,
and static discharge. To achieve this, it is important to ensure that equipment is effectively
earthed.
The mains IEC cable provides some protection, but to achieve optimal immunity, the chassis
EARTH
screw connection
should be connected to a local EARTH busbar or cabinet frame
wherever possible as shown above.
