As mentioned earlier, you can run sets of cascade links between Duos/Quadros in
order to support full access to all CPUs by two, three, or four independent users,
and these links should be connected to consecutively numbered CPU ports on the
“higher” Duo/Quadro. These port groups function as a unit and have special two-
digit “group numbers” that form part of each CPU’s address when you switch
between them, as shown in Figure 3-4. (When there are three users, CPU port 16
doesn’t belong to any port group.) For more about CPU addressing and group
