Cliff sensor
Place unit on black surface all cliff sensor lights
should be green. Raise unit to height of 14cm
over a white surface, all cliff sensor lights
should be off. The
mV value for each sensor will
increase as the distance between the sensor
and surface is reduced. If any one of the
sensors is not behaving as expected then
replace the cliff sensor array
Go to Cliff sensor
IR sensor
The top and bottom fields are not used in the
current models.
With a piece of white paper at approximately
3cm from the front bumper, move it from left
to right to cover each sensor location, when
blocked the relevant front sensor light should
show green. If any one of the sensors is nor
responding correctly then replace the front
sensor array.
Go to Bumper & IR
Cradle charge
The Cradle charge light should be green when
the unit is placed on the charging base
correctly, with power to the base. If it does not
light up, first check the Direct charge works, if
this does not then check with a new charger, if
the Direct charge works then check with a new
charging base. If there is still no light present
then check the contact plates and connection
to main PCB within the unit.
