Inspection and repairs

or defective parts. Check for breakage of parts

ELECTRICAL SAFETY

Before use, check that the mains voltage
corresponds to the voltage on the rating plate.
Do not immerse the appliance, power
supply cord or plug in water or other
liquid.

This product must be earthed.
ASSEMBLY (fig. A)
◆
Wash all the accessories in hot, soapy water.
Rinse and dry the accessories.
◆
Place the drip tray (10) and the drip tray cover
(9) on the base of the appliance.
◆
Place a cup on the drip tray cover (9).
When using the two cup filter, two cups can be
placed on the drip tray cover,
to prepare two cups of espresso at a time.
◆
Fill the water reservoir (5) to the maximum
amount mark and place the reservoir in the
appliance. Close the lid (6).
◆
Note: The reservoir can be filled whilst in
place, or filled separately and then fitted.
Make sure the unit is switched off before
removing or fitting the reservoir.
Fitting the filter holder to the brew head (fig. B)
Before fitting the filter holder filled with coffee,
make sure the appliance is cleaned and purged of
air as described in “Before first use”.

Select the one or two cup filter and insert it
into the filter holder (14).
◆
Fill the filter (16) with coffee, using the
measuring spoon (17). Use only coffee for
espresso machines.
◆
Lightly tamp down the coffee with the back of
the measuring spoon. Remove any excess
coffee.
