To place the prepared and sealed
xxplate™SBS into the
xxpress
®
NGx , touch the Front Door Release Button (See table 2)
to open the loading door.

Place the
xxplate™SBS
onto the slides ensuring that the slides
engage into all three holes on either side of the
xxplate™SBS
, see
Figure 15.

When correctly located close the door by pushing on the front of it
until it latches shut.

Once the experiment has been started by touching the forward
arrow on the
RUN
screen, the xxpress
®
NGx will run a number of
checks on the plate. These are listed in an information pop-up
window on the display. These include the recognition of the plate to
make sure it is the right size and in the correct position. The
recognition of the plate also enables accurate fluorescence
measurement.
•
The unit also clamps the plate in-situ so that it can control the
heating and cooling precisely. The clamping of the plate can be
recognised by the whirring of the motors that drive the clamps. Once
all the checks are done the experiment will start and a results screen
will be presented.
