Before you begin;
t
Use only HbA1c Control Solution which is allowed by SD Biosensor, Inc.
t
Check the expiration date on the control solution container. Record the opening date
on the container label. Do Not use after expiration or discard date (date opened plus
three months), whichever comes first.
t
Shake the container, discard the first drop of control solution, and wipe off the tip to
ensure a proper sample and an accurate result.
t
Check the analyzer mode. If you do the control solution test, press the left button
for 2 seconds at the standby state for sample. If you want to test at the normal
mode(measuring hbA1c), shortly press the left button again.
2. Control Solution Test for HbA1c
To ensure that the analyzer is functioning properly, you should regularly use control
solution for a control check. Make a habit of carrying out a control check in the following
situations:
t
When you open a new test kit packaging.
t
After replacing the batteries.
t
After cleaning the analyzer.
t
When you doubt that the measured values are correct.
A control check is performed in the same way as a regular measurement with the
difference that control solutions are used instead of blood.
t
Do not swallow control solution; it is not for human consumption.
t
Do not apply control solution to the skin or eyes as it may cause irritation.
