INSTALLING THE ELEVATION ROCKERS
(See Figure 13.1.)
The Gait Trainer is available with Incline/Decline of either standard 0 to 15 degrees or optional -3 to
12 degrees (Part# 945-275-M315). This setting is preset at the factory prior to shipping.
CAUTION: This procedure requires the efforts of at least two strong individuals.

1. Press <STANDBY> to turn the Gait Trainer to the Standby mode. Turn the Power Switch,
located at the base of the Gait Trainer in the left corner at the display end, to the “0” (OFF)
position. Unplug the Gait Trainer.
2. With the aid of a second person, gently tip the Gait Trainer over on one side.
3. Using a 7/16” wrench, remove the two bolts that secure each rocker to the Gait Trainer frame.
4. Replace the existing rockers with the new rockers, replace the bolts and tighten until fully
secure.
5. With the aid of a second person, rotate the Gait Trainer back to the upright position.
6. Plug in the Gait Trainer 2 power cord.
7. Press <On/Standby> to turn ON the Gait Trainer 2.
8. From the Gait Trainer 2 Opening Menu, touch <Utilities> to display the Utilities Menu.
9. Touch <Configuration> and then enter 781as the access I.D. code. Touch <OK> to display the
Configuration Menu.
10. Under treadmill settings in the top right corner of the Configuration screen, 0 to 15 should be
displayed as the Incline Range.
10. Touch the displayed <Incline Range> value to toggle to -3 to 12.
11. Touch <Back> to return to the Utilities Menu.
12. Touch <Back> again to return to the Opening Menu. The Gait Trainer 2 should now be con-
figured for -3 to 12 degrees elevation.
