To adjust the volume of the loudspeaker during
playback:

VOLUME –
or
+
button
There are ten volume levels altogether,
including ‘off’.
To intercept a
call
If you hear the answering machine recording a
message, you can intercept the call and speak
to the caller, by EITHER:
◗
pressing the
PHONE
button on the e820
handset; OR
◗
pressing the SPEAKERPHONE button on the
e820 base unit; OR
◗
lifting the handset of any other phone
connected to the same line.

When you intercept a call, the machine will
stop recording the caller’s message.
