Special feature S08

In this variant the two terminating resistors (681

Ω) are not installed. This allows the multimaster

operation of multiple ECC22X2-modules. In this case the bus has to be terminated externally.

In addition pin 7 is assigned with 5 V DC with a maximum load of 50 mA. This voltage source is
supplied via an “isolated “ 5 V DC of the interface and is not protected against overvoltage or
short circuit. It is used only to power external polarisation modules on the bus.

Incorrect wiring may lead to failure or destruction of the controller.



Make sure that the load on the voltage source of 5 V DC on pin 7 of the variant ECC22X2
never exceeds 50 mA.


