5.2. Earth
The functional earth dissipates HF currents and increase the stability of the device.
HF faults are transferred internally from the electronic circuit board to the metallic housing which
requires a suitable connection to a functional earth (X20).
Earthing the B-Fortis CC-Prime
Requirements:
The support rail has a good conductive contact with the control cabinet.
The control cabinet must be earthed correctly.
Ensure that the device housing has good conductive contact with the support rail.
If specifically required in certain installations, additional PE conductors may be connected to
protect all metallic parts from high voltages on the underside of the device (PE connection).
The device is now earthed.
Where necessary, the device can also be connected directly to the earth.
