The tail pitch slider is a preassembled unit; slide it onto the output
shaft, making sure to insert the ball into the delrin cup. Operate the
mechanism by moving the bellcrank by hand making sure the operation is
smooth and free. The shaft may have a coating on it from the precision
grinding process, and can be cleaned off with formula 409. A drop of
oil on the shaft will also help. Check the fit of the ball into the delrin
cup and ream as necessary. Proper operation here will greatly affect
how well your tail rotor/gyro/servo system works.
The tail rotor hub is borrowed from our Industrial birds, capable of
swinging 130mm tail blades with NO problem. Note the divot on the tail
output shaft.
