Safety of BERG Trampolines
The TÜV (the German Technical Monitoring Association) has approved the BERG Trampolines. This proves that BERG
Trampolines comply with all safety requirements.
User Conditions
1.
Make sure that the dimensions of the pit over which the trampoline is positioned is equal to the dimensions
given on page 3. Ensure that the position of the BERG Trampoline is in relation to the pit.
2.
Ensure that the BERG Trampoline is level. A spirit level is a handy tool for this purpose. You can also put a ball in
the centre of the jump mat. Correct the set-up until the ball does not roll away from the centre.
3.
In order to prevent injuries, the BERG Trampoline should always be fitted with a protective surround pad. Check
frequently whether this pad is still assembled and mounted according to the assembly manual.
4.
Before each use, inspect the BERG Trampoline by means of the assembly manual and replace broken or missing
parts.
5.
Regularly check the position of the trampoline in relation to the pit. Make sure that the anchoring is completely in
the ground and if necessary, push it further into the ground.
6.
Use the BERG Trampoline only when it is clean and dry. Jumping when it is raining and in windy conditions is not
advised.
7.
The BERG Trampoline is intended for use by only 1 person at a time with maximum weight of 120 kg.
8.
Do not use growth-promoting agents for the lawn (fertilizer, fertilizer granules, etc.) within a
2-metre radius around the BERG Trampoline. Using these impacts the lifespan of the BERG Trampoline.
9.
The
In Ground
Trampoline must be anchored into the ground at all times. The legs of the frame are equipped with
various holes and – by using one or more anchors (for example, pegs) of varying sizes – the trampoline can be
anchored to the ground. The choice of material for anchoring the trampoline depends on the type of ground and
this is always the responsibility of the buyer/user.
User Instructions
BERG
In Ground
Trampolines are rebound apparatuses, which lift the user up to unusual heights and result in a
variety of body movements. The rebound of the trampoline, touching the springs, or frame or an incorrect landing
on the BERG Trampoline can cause serious injury. To prevent this, it is important to carefully read and follow all instructions.
It is important that each user is instructed properly before using the BERG Trampoline.
The user should first learn how to bounce at a low and controlled height. Subsequently, the user should learn the basic
landing position. Command of the basic bounces is an absolute must before starting new bouncing skills. Awareness of
your limitation and an insight into your individual progress in jumping skills are the most important lessons. Lack of skills
and recklessness are the major causes of injury.
Have a look at the supplied DVD for more extensive instructions. Also see the instructions on the next pages.
If used privately, the BERG
In Ground
Trampolines should be placed near the house or in the back garden. The owner
or a responsible adult should make sure that inexperienced children who use the BERG
In Ground
Trampoline, are
supervised properly and that this person can explain the safety instructions to the users and make sure that they follow them.
If you want more instructions about using the BERG Trampoline or about jump techniques, we recommend contacting a
trampoline instructor or a trampoline club.
