h. Replace both O-rings as described in Section 7.7.1, except use a moving parts grease such as
Versilube.

Clean the shaft hole using alcohol and a cotton swab.
j.
Making sure that the release pin ball nut assembly is correctly oriented, slide the end cap onto the
release pin and rotate the end cap so that the microswitch assembly screw holes correctly align.
Also, the flat of the release lever should swing up against the flat on the release pin. Start the four
retaining bolts and hand tighten.
k.
Using an 1/2-inch wrench, tighten all four bolts uniformly in sequence ensuring that the release pin
remains square with respect to the end cap. Finally, torque all four bolts to 15 foot/pounds.
l.
Remount the microswitches onto the proper locations.
1. The limit switches SWE and SWD should straddle the roll pin on the release pin ball
nut assembly, and the levers should face inward.
2. The assembly of two microswitches, SWA and SWB, should be mounted on the
HOLD-EXTEND side of the switch cam, with the levers facing outwards. There
should be two insulator pads, one between the switches and one against the end cap.
3. The microswitch SWC is mounted on the TEST/RETRACT side of the switch cam,
with its lever facing outwards. There should be an insulator pad against the end cap.
m.
Turn the end cap rotary switch to the ON- ARMED position.
n.
Install the battery/electronics chassis and reconnect the battery pack connector.
o.
Install the motor fuse 1.5 amp Slo-Blo.
p.
Test the release operation by turning the end cap rotary switch to HOLD-EXTEND and TEST-
RETRACT positions while inspecting the correct operation.
q.
Install and bolt the assembly into the housing and test the operation, as described in Section 7.1.
