Receiving Calls
Receiving Calls with the HANDSET on the BASE UNIT
1. When the phone rings, lift the
HANDSET
. The IN USE
LED indicator will light up. (NOTE: The HANDSET
RINGER Switch must be in the “ON” position for ringer
to operate.)
2. Start your conversation.
3. To end your conversation, either press the
TALK
button or place the
HANDSET
on the
BASE UNIT
. If
you place the
HANDSET
on the
BASE UNIT
CHARGE
CRADLE, you activate the automatic STANDBY
feature.
Receiving Calls with the HANDSET off the BASE UNIT
1. When the phone rings, press the
TALK
button. The IN USE LED indicator will light up.
2. Start your conversation.
3. To end your conversation, either press the
TALK
button or place the
HANDSET
on the
BASE UNIT
. If you place the
HANDSET
on the
BASE UNIT
CHARGE CRADLE, you activate
the automatic STANDBY feature.
(
NOTE
: The
BASE UNIT
does not have a ringer and does not ring when receiving an
incoming call.)
NOTE
: If you are too far away from the
BASE UNIT
, the
HANDSET
emits “beep” sounds to
warn you that the background noise level is too high for proper communication between
the
HANDSET
and the
BASE UNIT
. When you hear this sound, you should move closer
to the
BASE UNIT
to reduce the noise level. Otherwise, the call will automatically cut
off.
