Ring redundancy guaranteed. On delivery, there is no ring redundancy
monitoring
Pull the terminal block off the Switch and connect the signal lines.
Mount the terminal block for the two signal contacts on the front of the de-
vice. Make sure that the snap lock snaps into place.
2.1.10 Connecting the supply voltage,
starting up
The devices may only be connected to the supply voltage specified on
their type plate. Connect the mains cable, then connect this to the mains
voltage. Make sure the cable is not under strain.
Warning: The DC modules (M4-...-...VDC 300W) are designed for
operation with safety extra-low voltage. Accordingly, only PELV or
SELV circuits with voltage restrictions in line with IEC/EN 60950-1
may be connected to the supply voltage connections.
The external supply voltage can be connected redundantly
(see on page 19
"Power supply")
. Both inputs are uncoupled.
With redundant supply, the power supply unit with the higher output voltage
supplies the device on its own. The supply voltage is electrically isolated from
the housing.
The DC modules (M4-...-...VDC 300W) are grounded via the 3-pin DC socket
connection.
Switch on the plug-in power units to start up the device.
