Chapter 20 Electrical
General
Typically, the electrical portion of the installation is the most substantial. Begin by referencing the
supplied electrical drawings and review
ing our “Best Practice Methods” within this chapter.
Understanding the electrical requirements for the FreeStyler® system, in addition to these Best
Practice Methods will not only assist with a successful installation but will also ensure proper future
system performance.
A FreeStyler® system will typically require between 30 and 40 man/hours to complete the electrical
installation. This assumes that the main supply lines to the building are in place.
Note:
If there is just one electrician performing the installation and depending on the number of
hours they work per day, expect that it will take between three to five days to complete the
work. Please keep this in mind as you coordinate your project resource schedule.
Electrical Standards Overview
This section will cover the required main electrical feeds needed for a standard installation.
Utility Requirements
The following specifications are meant as a quick reference and guideline only. Your site may vary
depending on your setup, configuration and/or local code. Contact your local Belanger®
Representative for questions.
The chart on the next page shows the voltages recommended by Belanger®. For
any higher voltages, please contact your local Belanger® Representative.
❖
Actual electrical requirements are dependent on state and local codes.
❖
Values listed below are only valid for 208V systems. Contact the factory if you are operating
with a voltage other than 208/230V.
The FreeStyler® carwash should have a 2” water meter at 60PSI or 1-1/2” meter at 60PSI to
supply the entire system.
Note:
If your FreeStyler® is supplied with less than 60PSI, a Booster Pump is
recommended. The Booster pump specifications are on the following page.
