INSTALLATION
4.1
Location
The BA377E has a robust glass reinforced Noryl
enclosure with a toughened glass window. The front
has IP66 ingress protection and a gasket seals the
joint between the instrument enclosure and the
panel, the rear of the instrument has IP20 ingress
protection.
The BA377E may be installed in any panel providing
that the operating temperature is between -40°C and
+70°C and the intrinsic safety requirements are
complied with. At temperatures below -20°C the
display will become increasingly slow with reduced
contrast but the instrument will continue to function
normally.
Fig 9 shows the overall dimensions of the instrument
together with the recommended panel cut-out
dimensions. To achieve an IP66 seal between the
instrument enclosure and the instrument panel the
smaller tolerance aperture must be used.
Although the front of the BA377E has IP66 protection
it should be shielded from continuous direct sunlight
and severe weather conditions.
4.2
EMC
The BA377E complies with the requirements of the
European EMC Directive 2014/30/EU. For specified
immunity all wiring should be in screened twisted
pairs, with the screens earthed at one point within
the safe area.
