8 Operation
CAUTION:
Please make sure that the patient/resident is always correctly
positioned on the lift and that the safety belt is correctly attached and
fastened.
Please make sure as well that the swivel arms are folded down during
the transfer.
CAUTION:
To avoid any fall of the patient/resident, the lift must always be
positioned in the bottommost position prior to the transfer.
8.1 Prior to use
Conduct the following check once a day, however at least prior to each use of the
bathing lift, in order to ensure a safe and trouble-free operation:
➢
Visual check of the lift system (external damages and wear-and-tear).
➢
Check that no screws of the safety armrests are missing or loose.
➢
Check the functioning of the safety armrests.
➢
Perform a functional check of the handset.
➢
Test the electrical emergency lowering system
➢
Check the battery charging function.
➢
Check whether the castors run free.
8.2 Using the SENTA PUR L as sitting lift
The SENTA PUR L (sitting lift) is equipped with adjustable safety
armrests, which offer the patient a safe grip. The safety armrests
can be simply folded backward or forward. The special, easy-to-
clean paddings offer the patient optimal hold. For the seat lift, an
optional bedpan support is available.
This bedpan support cannot be used in combination with the
stretcher lift wings!
