Gas Control Functions
1.
Turn the main control valve anti-clockwise to the
PILOT
position.
2.
Depress the valve knob and hold it in and push the igniter button.
(Listen for the
spark) The pilot should now ignite. The pilot is visible on the related burner.
3.
When you can see that the
pilot
flame ignites,
release the ignition button
while
continuing to depress the gas valve for approx. 10-20 seconds.
This is to allow
time for the thermocouple to recognise the flame is present and hold.
4.
With the pilot now holding, release the gas valve and turn anti-clockwise to ignite
the main burner onto
HIGH FLAME
.
If the pilot fails to hold, repeat steps 1-3 and hold the gas valve for a longer
period
– up to 30 seconds.
Should the pilot/burner fail to ignite after four (4) attempts, checks should be
made by using the troubleshooting guide in this manual.
5.
Once the desired temperature is achieved, turn the gas valve to the
LOW
FLAME
position. Adjust the flame from high to low flame depending on load to
maintain a consistent temperature on the digital display.
6.
The gas system can be set to a
STANDBY
position by returning the gas valve to
the pilot position. This will turn off the burner but leave the pilot on so the burner
can be re-ignited at a later time.
NOTE:
Do NOT leave the pilot running when the oven is unattended.
7.
To turn the system off, turn the main valve knob to the
OFF
position.
The main control switch should always be set to OFF when any service work or
inspections occur. Disconnect power from the wall socket. All service work
should be carried out by a qualified and authorized technician.
