Deleting a RAID system

The RAID system can be deleted, so that the storage media can be operated individually again. No data is
lost, if the RAID 1 option was used for your RAID system.

Prerequisites for this step:

• RAID system already installed.

How to delete a RAID system with the Intel Manager:

1. Start the Intel Manager under 

Start > All Programs > Intel > Intel Rapid Storage Technology.

2. In the toolbar click on 

Manage

, then 

Delete Volume

.

3. Click on 

Yes

 to acknowledge the warning.

 

ð

The RAID system was deleted successfully. The storage media are displayed individually in the status
overview of the Intel Manager and are no longer part of a RAID system.
