Replacing the fan

NOTE

Incorrect fan type

The Industrial PC may be damaged if the wrong type of fan is installed.

• Only replace the fan with a replacement fan from Beckhoff Service.

The fans ensure optimal cooling of the Panel PC. Order replacement fans exclusively from Beckhoff Service
(see Chapter 9.1 Service and support).

Before you can replace the fans, you must gain access to them in accordance with the instructions in
Chapter 6.2.1.

To replace the fans, follow the steps below as shown in Figure 25:

1. Remove the two Torx TX10 screws from each fan to release the fans from the fan plate (section A).

2. Remove the fans from the fan plate (section B).

3. Disconnect the fan supply cables from the motherboard and pull them out of the cable sleeves.

You can now exchange the fans.

4. Pull the supply cables of the new fans through the cable sleeves and plug them into the motherboard.

5. Screw each new fan firmly to the fan plate with the two Torx TX10 screws with a tightening torque of

approx. 0.5 Nm.

You have now replaced the fans.

The old fan must be disposed of in accordance with the national electronic waste regulations.
