Continuing Server Installation

Continuing Server Installation

The Install Registration Files dialog box opens.

1.

Insert the diskette with the registration file into the appropriate drive. 
For additional information, refer to 

Registration File

.

When the software is installed successfully, the EMS Installation Complete 
dialog box opens.

2.

Click on 

Finish

 to complete the installation program.

If you selected other Voice Services components to be installed at the same 
time, the installation program continues with the next component from the 
list.

Starting the Server

The Event Manager runs as a Windows NT Service. The installation program sets 
the service to start automatically.

To configure the server to start manually:

1.

From Windows, choose 

Start

Choose 

Settings

.

Choose 

Control Panel

.

4.

Choose 

Services

.

5.

After the Services program is running, choose 

NetSpeak EMS

 in the 

Services dialog box.

6.

Click on 

Startup

.

7.

Change the service startup from 

Automatic

 to 

Manual

 in the 

Startup Type

 

section.

Note: 

The installation program may display a message that prompts you to 

restart the computer system. If you are installing other Voice Services, wait 
until you finish installing all components before restarting the computer.
