MAC Address Table
The MAC Address Table screen (see
Figure 3-7
) allows you to view MAC
addresses that were learned by the switch. You can also use this screen to search
for specific MAC addresses.

Field
Description
Aging Time:
Specifies the length of time that a learned MAC address remains in the switch
forwarding database. If an entry is inactive during any time period that is longer than
the specified aging time, the entry is removed.
Default Value:
300 seconds
Range:
00-00-00-00-00-00 to FF-FF-FF-FF-FF-FF
Find an Address:
Allows user to search for specific existing MAC address.
Default Value:
00-00-00-00-00-00 (no MAC address assigned)
Range:
00-00-00-00-00-00
