Installing the Model 8000 Remote Access Concentrator
Activity TE7: Booted
Wrong Image
The RAC loaded an inappropriate image. Press the Reset button for 3
seconds to reset the device. To prevent this problem in the future:
• Make sure that you configure the RAC with the appropriate
information about the location of the image. See
Booting the
Remote Access Concentrator on page 2-19 for more
information.
• Make sure that the image you are booting has the correct
name. Do not rename the image file unless you are making a
copy for backup.
• If you used an na, admin, or cli boot command, specify the
correct image and a valid file name.
Power-Up Diagnostic Messages
Power-up diagnostics run when the RAC is turned up or reset. During the
power-up sequence the following message is displayed on the console
terminal:
To enter "Monitor Mode" please depress the SPACE key within
10 seconds.
If you press the spacebar within 10 seconds, the following message is
displayed:
Monitor Mode selected, please wait for Confidence tests to
complete.
If you do not press the spacebar within 10 seconds, the following message
is displayed:
Defaulting to Normal Boot Mode.
If an error occurs during confidence tests, the following message is
displayed:
