Your washing machine is equipped with safety
functions, which can detect faults early and react
accordingly.
Often these are no more than minor problems
that can be solved quickly.

The appliance fails to start:

Please check whether:

The mains plug is inserted into the socket.

The socket is functioning correctly
(e.g. using a table lamp).

The appliance door is closed (child safety
device?).

A programme has been selected.

The “ON/OFF” button was pressed.

No or little water:

Press the “ON/OFF” button; the indicator light
will go out.

Please check whether:

The tap is turned on fully, the main water
supply (water pressure) is operational.

The inlet hose is kinked.

The mesh filter in the water hose is blocked
or dirty (see “Care and maintenance/water
hose filter”).

The water in the supply hose is frozen.

Press the “ON/OFF” button again to continue with
the programme.

Waste water not drained:

Press the “ON/OFF” button; the indicator light will
go out.
Please check whether:

The drain hose is installed without kinks
(see “Installation Instructions”) .

The pump or the filter is blocked
(see “Removing the Filter / Draining Residual
Water”).
IMPORTANT: Make sure that the water has
cooled before draining.

The water in the drain pipe is frozen.

Press the “ON/OFF” button again in order to
continue the programme.

If the fault occurs again, contact After-Sales
Service (see “After-Sales Service”).

If the water stop was released:

A released water stop can be recognised by the
fact that the water flow is interrupted and a
continuous pumping noise can be heard.

Switch off appliance and close tap.

If excess foam has caused the water stop,
the water collected in the base tray may be
drained by tilting the appliance forward
slightly.

If the water stop is activated again when the
appliance is switched on, contact the After-
sales service.

The appliance vibrates during the
spin cycle:

Please check whether:

The appliance is horizontal with all four feet
on the ground (see “Installation
Instructions”), and the lock nuts are tight.

The transit bolts have been removed.

Before using the appliance the transit bolts MUST
be removed (see “Installation Instructions”)

The laundry is not spun properly after
the programme has terminated or,
subsequently is not dried:

The in-built unbalance control system
recognises excessive unbalance at the start
of the spinning cycle (e.g. for small loads or
loads consisting of large items only). In this
case the appliance automatically terminates
the wash programme without final spin, in
order to avoid possible costly damage to the
appliance. In this case, the laundry will
remain damp after subsequent drying.

Are there larger amounts of foreign bodies in
the filter, or is the drain pump rotor blocked?
Carry out drainage if necessary.
