Preparations for Installation
The LED transformer comes supplied with a Euro power cable, so the connection is
very simple.
If this is removed in order to connect the LED transformer directly to a screw clamp,
for example, make sure that this is only done by a qualified electrical specialist (e.g.
an electrician) who is familiar with the applicable regulations (e.g. VDE, German elec-
trical wiring regulations)!
Improper work, carried out on the mains voltage, endangers not only your own life but
also the life of others!
Please refer to the section “Safety Information”!
• Install the product out of the reach of children.
• The product is designed for installation in a suspended ceiling (ceiling panels) or in quick-fit
boards (plaster boards or similar), for example.
• Installation requires a solid, stable surface. Only use the product when it is firmly mounted/
steady.
• The product must be voltage-free during installation. Do not connect the LED transformer to
an electrical socket before the connection and installation of the luminaries has been com-
pleted.
Installation and Connection
Pay attention to the information in chapter “Preparations for Installation”!
• Consider the arrangement of the LED recessed luminaries in the suspended ceiling and
your planned installation very carefully.
• Mark the drill holes (for the requisite diameter see „Technical Data“) and drill each hole using
a suitable drill (e.g. hole saw drill with centre drill).
Our tip:
As a precaution, check the correct diameter of the hole on an off-cut before installing
the recessed LED luminaries in a ceiling panel. It is very frustrating to drill a hole big-
ger than the one needed in an expensive and high quality ceiling panel.
Drill the hole from the visible side, so the edges of the hole do not break away.
When using a hole saw drill, a 3 mm hole can be pre-drilled so that the centre drill of
the hole saw does not slip out of place.
• Secure the LED transformer, for example, under a suspended ceiling; there are corresponding
screw holes for mounting at two corners of the casing.
• Connect the plug for each recessed LED luminarie to the 3-way distributor on the LED trans-
former, so it snaps into place. The plug is protected against inverse polarity; do not use force
when plugging!
• Put the recessed LED luminarie into the drilled hole prepared. Make sure that the cables are
not pinched.
The recessed LED luminarie is secured in the drilled hole by the two side metal springs.
Maintenance and Cleaning
• The product does not require maintenance. Repair or maintenance work must be carried out
by a specialist.
• Dust can easily be removed from the recessed LED luminaries with a clean soft brush and a
vacuum cleaner.
Alternatively, the recessed LED luminaries can be wiped with a clean, soft and dry cloth. Never
use aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solvents as these may cause discolouration of the
production.
Disposal
Dispose of an unserviceable product in accordance with the relevant statutory regula-
tions.
