Lens shade
Pull the lens shade (2) all the way forward to prevent reflections when light falls in at an angle.
Rubber eye cup for persons wearing glasses
The foldable rubber eye cup allows the viewer to increase the distance between glasses and the
lens. In this way, persons wearing glasses can optimally adjust the field of view.
Notes
• It is illegal to observe other persons without their knowledge and consent.
• Do not use the scope while moving as you could overlook and trip over obstacles.
• Moisture may build on the lens when the spotting scope is subjected to rapid temperature
change. This is normal, the condensation will usually dissipate in warm spaces within an hour.
• Do not subject the spotting scope to direct rain or moisture. Use the cleaning cloth to
immediately wipe away any drops of water.
• Place the protective caps on the eyepiece (8) and lens (1) when the scope is not in use.
6. Maintenance and cleaning
Do not apply too much pressure to the lens to prevent scratching.
Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions as they may
cause damage to the housing or lens.
• The spotting scope is maintenance-free, never open it.
• Do not submerge the spotting scope in water to clean it.
• Use the included cleaning cloth or a dust brush to clean the housing and lenses. You can also
use a soft, lint-free cloth. A glasses cloth can also be used to clean the lenses. If necessary,
you can moisten the cloth with a little lukewarm water.
• Should you use a cleaning agent to clean the spotting scope, make sure that no cleaning
agent drips onto the lenses. Always apply the cleaning agent directly to the cloth first.
