1. Intended use
Use this product to observe distant objects. The optical zoom allows you to observe objects –
such as animal, buildings or trees – in great detail despite great distances. The product is also
suited for protected use outdoors. Avoid direct contact with humidity or moisture.
For safety and approval purposes, you must not rebuild and/or modify this product. If you use the
product for purposes other than those described above, the product may be damaged. Read the
instructions carefully and keep them. Make this product available to third parties only together
with its operating instructions.

3. Safety instructions
Read the operating instructions carefully and especially observe the safety
information. If you do not follow the safety instructions and information
on proper handling in this manual, we assume no liability for any resulting
personal injury or damage to property. Such cases will invalidate the warranty/
guarantee.
Persons / Product
• Never use the spotting scope to look directly or into the vicinity of the sun or other strong light
sources. This poses a risk of loss of eyesight!
• When used improperly, the spotting scope may act as a burning lens. This poses a fire hazard!
Never let the scope lie in the sun.
• Make sure that the spotting scope is not subjected to any blows or the like as this could lead
to dangerous eye injury.
• Do not touch the lenses with your fingers.
• The rubber eye cup can cause skin irritation when used for longer periods of time. In the event
of skin irritation, consult your physician.
• The device is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. These may become dangerous
playing material for children.
• Protect the product from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong jolts, high humidity,
moisture, flammable gases, vapours and solvents.
• Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
• If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of operation and protect it
from any accidental use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:
- is visibly damaged,
- is no longer working properly,
- has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
- has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.
• Please handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height can damage
the product.

• Maintenance, modifications and repairs are to be performed exclusively by an expert or at a
qualified shop.

5. Operation
Mounting to the tripod
1. Spread the three tripod legs (5) completely apart.
2. Place the tripod on an even, horizontal and stable surface.
3. Lock the tripod head (4) by turning the swivel arm’s handle (6) clockwise.
4. There is a screw fastened beneath the tripod head (not depicted). Place the clamp’s
threading (9) on the screw and tighten the screw. Hold the spotting scope firm with one hand
while doing so.
Direction
• Turn the swivel arm’s handle (6) counter clockwise. Turn and tilt the spotting scope in the
desired direction. Secure the position by turning the handle clockwise.
• Loosen the locking screw (not depicted) located on the side of the clamp (9) to loosen
the clamp. Rotate the scope on its longitudinal axis. Tighten the locking screw once the
eyepiece (8) is in the desired position.
Zoom
• Turn the zoom ring (7) clockwise until it stops to set the lowest possible zoom (20x).
• Turn the zoom ring (7) counter clockwise until it stops to set the highest possible zoom (60x).
The focus must be readjusted after setting the zoom.
Focusing
1. Fold the protective lens cap away from the lens (1) to the side.
2. Remove the lens cap from the eyepiece (8).
3. Look into the eyepiece and aim at a distant object.
4. Set the zoom as described above.
5. Turn the focus wheel (3) until the object you wish to view is clearly visible.
