• The device was constructed according to protection class II. Only a proper mains socket
(230 V/AC, 50 Hz) connected to the public grid should be used as a voltage source.
• Never pour any liquids over electrical devices or put objects filled with liquid next to the
device. If liquid or an object does enter the interior of the device, power down the respective
socket (e.g. switch off circuit breaker) and then pull the mains plug from the mains socket.
Discontinue use and take the product to a specialist repair centre.
• Never use the product immediately after it has been brought from a cold room into a warm
one. The condensation generated could destroy the product. Allow the product to reach room
temperature before connecting it to the power supply and putting it to use. This may take
several hours.
• The mains outlet must be located near to the device and be easily accessible.
• Never pull the mains plug from the socket by pulling at the cable. Always pull it from the mains
socket using the grips on the plug.
• Unplug the mains plug from the mains socket if you are not going to use the device for an
extended period of time.
• For safety reasons, disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket during thunderstorms.
• Make sure that the mains cable is not squeezed, bent, damaged by sharp edges or put under
mechanical stress. Avoid excessive thermal stress on the mains cable from extreme heat or
cold. Do not modify the mains cable, otherwise it may be damaged. A damaged mains cable
can cause a fatal electric shock.
• Do not touch the mains cable if it is damaged. Power down the respective mains socket (e.g.
via the respective circuit breaker) and then carefully pull the mains plug from the mains socket.
Never use the product if the mains cable is damaged.
• A damaged mains cable may only be replaced by the manufacturer, an authorized repair
centre or a similarly qualified person.
• Never plug in or unplug the mains plug when your hands are wet.

Setup and installation
• Release the container latch (4) on the side of the sludge sucker, and then remove the motor housing (5)
using the handle (6).
• Remove all components from the container.
• Attach the four roller sets (3) to the bottom of the sludge sucker using the fastening material and suitable
tools.
• Slide the filtration foam (12) onto the intake nozzle on the motor (located on the bottom of the motor
housing (5)).
• The subsequent setup depends on how you want to use the sludge sucker:
-
To use the sludge sucker as a wet vacuum cleaner,
connect the suction hose (8) to the air intake. Secure
the suction hose in place by turning it in a clockwise direction.
- Turn the outlet hose (9) in a clockwise direction to secure it to the bottom of the sludge sucker.
- If possible, the outlet hose should be placed on a sloped surface to ensure that the sludge water can
drain properly. If necessary, attach the dirt collection bag (13) to the end of the outlet hose.
When vacuuming water volumes of up to 30 l, the sludge sucker can be used with the screw
cap (16) closed. Once you have finished vacuuming, you will need to empty water manually by
removing the screw cap.
-
To use the sludge sucker as a dry vacuum cleaner,
connect the suction hose (8) to the air intake. Secure
the suction hose in place by turning it in a clockwise direction.
- Do not attach the outlet hose. Place the screw cap (16) onto the drainage outlet and turn it in a clockwise
direction to secure it in place.
- Place the rubber seal on the filter bag (15) over the plastic inlet pipe inside the container.
• Replace the motor housing and lock it in place.
• Attach the extensions to the suction pipe as necessary. Insert the nozzle (10, 11 or 14) that is appropriate
for your pond surface.
- Universal nozzle: Use for removing thick layers of sludge in ponds with a pond liner (without stones
and pebbles).
- Flat nozzle: Use for removing thick layers of sludge in ponds with a pebble base.
- Crevice nozzle: Use for cleaning corners, edges and crevices (do not use to vacuum pebbles or other
large solid matter).
