6. Cleaning and maintenance
6.1 Safety advice
o
Before beginning with repair or cleaning works make sure the device has been
disconnected from power socket (pull the power plug!!!) and has cooled down.
o
Do not use any acid agents and make sure no water ingresses the device.
o
To protect yourself from electric shock, never immerse the device, its cables and
the plug in water or other liquids.
CAUTION!
The device is not suited for direct washing via water jets. Therefore, you must not
use any kind of pressure water jet for cleaning the device!
6.2 Cleaning
o
Regularly clean the device.
o
Remove the shelves for bottles and the flat shelf from the device. Clean them with a
mild detergent and a soft cloth. Dry them thoroughly.
o
Clean the wine refrigerator inside and out with warm water, a soft cloth and a mild
detergent.
o
Rinse with clean water.
o
The door and door seal should be regularly cleaned with a damp cloth.
CAUTION!
Never
use
hot
water to clean the device!
Never use aggressive cleaning agents such as a scouring powder, alcohol or
alkaline agents, thinners and petrol which could have a negative influence on
plastic parts or the paint coating.
o
After cleaning, the surface should be dried and polished with a dry cloth.
In the case of a longer period of the wine refrigerator not being used:
o
Turn off the device (set the thermostat to "0")
and disconnect it from
the socket (pull the plug).
o
Remove all beverages from the wine refrigerator.
o
Clean the refrigerator inside and out.
o
Leave the door open so that the wine refrigerator could dry thoroughly,
which will help prevent odor and mildew.
