Maintenance
6.1
Moving parts
Only carry out maintenance on moving parts when the device is switched off and
disconnected from the mains.
Due to the fact that the moving parts are stressed by extremely small forces, the device
does not require special regular maintenance.
We recommend:
✓
Keep movement bolts and threads in brass nuts lubricated with inspections at
approximately 6 months intervals
✓
Keep guide rods lightly lubricated (guide the axles with linear bearings)

Printing pad
Before handling the printing pad, make sure it is not hot. There is a risk of burns.
The printing pad has a steel plate with PEI film on the surface, which must be removed
from the magnetic pad before cleaning. Just wash with water or technical spirit.
Otherwise, the pad does not need to be treated properly before printing. Do not use
sharp objects to remove the printout! Allow the pad to cool after printing. Then just
remove the steel plate from the magnetic pad and bend. Therefore, the print is
separated from the pad
Mechanical pad adjustment:
In case of service intervention in the pad (replacement, etc.) or in case of large
differences in electronic levelling, the pad can be mechanically adjusted (parallelism with
the X and Y axis).
1.
Allow the pad to warm to 60°C (see the steps in the menu below)
2.
Touch the "Tool" icon on the display
3.
Touch the "Screw bed levelling" icon
4.
The icons with the indicated individual calibration points are displayed. Press them one at a
time and calibrate the pad with paper in the same manner as described in the illustration
below
5.
Repeat the procedure several times at all points until the result is optimal in all areas (the
point in the middle is only informative, it is always adjusted only at points above the matrix (a
total of 5 points, of which 4 are adjustment)
Note: if the nozzle is more or less above the pad in the middle (or it is easier or more difficult to move
the paper), it does not matter, it will adjust electronically (see the next chapter "Mesh bed levelling")
