Periodic beacon

The periodic beacon feature of the 2060 telephone interconnect allows beacon
tones to be transmitted by the interconnect at a set period of time on each
programmed channel. This gives HF station operators the ability to know if an
interconnect is available and also signal quality. The period can be set from 1 to 60
minutes at intervals of 1 minute, or the beacon can be disabled.
