With a finger, close the metal cover until it lies flat.

Lock the metal cover by inserting a fingernail in the slot in the middle of the cover and pushing
the cover toward the bottom of your
NOOK
. The metal cover only moves about 1/16th of an
inch.

Changing microSD Cards
If you decide to change the microSD card in your
NOOK
(take one out you are currently using and
put a different one in), note the following:
•
For B&N content in your library and personal content in your
NOOK
’s internal memory, you do
not need to transfer it. It is not on the microSD card.
•
For personal content on the microSD card, you
must
transfer the content manually, using a USB
connection to a personal computer.
To change the microSD card:

Press the power button for 5-9 seconds to turn off your
NOOK
. Your
NOOK
must be fully off,
not just asleep, to change a microSD card.

Remove the back cover. Full instructions are given in “Removing the Back Cover” on page 28.

Place your
NOOK
on a flat surface with the open back facing up and the top away from you.
