Schematic for cabling interfaces for the LAN switch:
Within a row (vertical direction!), each color represents
one switch (cabling interface). The column where to
install the cabling interface should be selected to
minimize d istances between the respective projection
units and the cabling interface.
Not defined by the schematics: the row where to
install the cabling interface. To minimize distances, this
should be the mid row of a display wall!
Example 4x3 configuration:
2 cabling interfaces are required,
1x column 2, row 2
1x column 4, row 2
Step 48
The projection units are LAN enabled and thus have
to be connected to a LAN switch which is connected
to the LAN.
Always 6 projection units are connected to the
switch, all switches are cascaded.
The cabling interface serves for mounting the LAN
switch and for mounting the Multi Input Module.
In case there are no Multi Input Modules, the number
of switches and thus of cabling interface sheet
metals is defined by roundup (rows*columns/6).
Preferably the installation is done "per column", e.g.
in case the number of rows = 6, every column has to
be provided with a switch. This consideration results
in the schematic at the left
Look at the schematic at the left to define the
columns to be equipped with a cabling interface.
Step 49
In case a Multi Input Module is installed, additional
cabling interfaces might be required.
Ask for the actual position of the projection modules
to be equipped with Multi Input Module to know
where to install the cabling interfaces exclusively for
the Multi Input Modules.
Step 50
Assemble the required d evices on the cabling
interface.
The power strip is only available on request. If
installed, it could provide the power for the LAN
switch.
The Multi Input Module might also be plugged into
this power strip, but it is recommend ed to plug the
Multi Input Module into the power plug foreseen for
the illumination unit and to plug in the illumination
unit into the AC out interface of the Multi Input
Module.
