8. Maintenance
Remove any foreign elements or substances.
3. Check on moisture or liquid.
Keep the projection lens dry at all times.
Visual check of the projected image
1. Display each of the listed test patterns in turn and evaluate the projected image for each of them.
- Full white
- Full black
- Full red
- Full green
- Full blue
- Hatch pattern
2. Contact a Quali fi ed Product Specialist in case of irregularities.
Visual check on dust or stains
1. Visually check the concerning surface on dust or stains.
2. Follow the appropriate cleaning instructions in case of stains or excessive dust.

Visual check of cables and connectors
1. Visually check all cables, while paying special attention to:
- Damage of any kind
- Squeezed cables
In case of damage or squeezed cables, power down the projector and contact quali fi ed technical service personnel.
2. Check all connections:
- Power cord
- Source cables
- Stereo sync cables
- Communication cables (RS232, Ethernet, Wired RCU)
All connectors should be well plugged in. Reconnect in case of doubt.
8.3 Cleaning housing and mechanical structure
How to clean housings and mechanical structure?
1. Power down the projector and unplug the power cord.
2. Clean with a damp cloth.
3. Remove stubborn stains with a cloth lightly dampened with a mild detergent solution.
8.4 Cleaning the projection lens
Necessary tools
Toraysee TM cloth (delivered together with the lens kit). Order number: R379058.
How to clean the projection lens ?
1. Blow off dust or foreign particles with clean, dry deionized air.
Tip: If no dust or particles remain on the surface after performing this step, stop this procedure.
2. Use a clean Toraysee
TM
cloth and repeatedly wipe the lens surface in a one single direction.
If smears occur when cleaning lenses, replace the cloth by a clean one. Smears are the fi rst indication of a
dirty cloth.
Do not leave the cleaning cloth in either an open room or lab coat pocket, as doing so can contaminate the
cloth.
