Problems and solutions
In the following chapter possible causes for faults and work needed for their
resolution are described.
For problems and faults that cannot be resolved using the following instructions,
contact your authorised dealer or the manufacturer. For Germany see the service
address on page 2.
9.1 Troubleshooting guide

turn

Instrument not
connected to the
power supply
Connect to the power supply (Chapter 6.5
‘Connect the unit to the power supply’ on
page 19).
Power failure
Check the fuse of the power supply of the
healthcare establishment.
Defective instru-
ment fuse
Replace the instrument fuse on the back of
the instrument in the instrument inlet recep-
tacle fuse holder.
Instrument inlet
connector loose
Check instrument inlet connector is plugged
firmly in.
Grinding speed is
inadequate
Grinding wheel
blocked up with
grinding material
Remove material from grinding wheel with the
cleaning stone (Chapter 8.4 ‘Cleaning the
grinding wheel (removal)’ on page 26).
Grinding wheel is
dry although tap
water is dripping
from the water
valve
Sponge is
blocked up with
grinding sludge
Clean the sponge or replace if necessary
(Chapter 8.3 ‘Cleaning sponges’ on page
24).
Water is running
down the sides of
the upper outer
housing if tap
