CALIBRATING THE O2 AND CO PROBES
- The probes must already be preheated, in air or in the stack but
with the burner turned off.
- The “service” switch must be in the off position (orange led off on
both probe panels)
- Check the BUS link series:
ETAMATIC (on switch on connector) > CUSTOMER INTERFACE
(microswitch off n8) > O2 (off bridge 1-2) > CO (on bridge 2-3)
check bus link on burner wiring diagram.
CALIBRATING THE CO PROBE
Using the display on the Oxygen control panel, connect up to the
remote system (CO)
Press: diag > remote > Connect LT LSB Address 10 > ENTER
Check that resistance is 15-20 ohms
When resistance is stable at around 16 ohms, calibrate the probe:
press CALL>START CALIBRATION>ENTER> off set calibration
on ambient air > ENTER (CALL OFF SET will appear), and when
MEASURE appears the probe is calibrated > EXIT
Check parameters: P531=4-20 mA; P532=0 ppm; P533=1000 ppm
(only if using a continuous reader such as Logoscreen)
CALIBRATING THE O2 PROBE
Using the display on the Oxygen control panel, disconnect from the
remote system (CO)
Press: DIAG>REMOTE >BREAK CONNECTION>ENTER>EXIT
> EXIT
Check that the voltage in mV of the O2 probe is negative, and if it
is not, invert cables 33 and 34
When resistance is stable and <100 ohms the system is ready for
calibration: press CALL>START CALIBRATION > ENTER > off set
calibration on ambient air > ENTER (call. Off set will appear and
the system will undergo calibration), when MEASURE appears the
probe will be calibrated >EXIT
CALIBRATING THE O2 PROBE WITH
THE BURNER IN OPERATION
Once combustion has been regulated, set the burner to about 2%
O2.
Use the LT2 keyboard
CALL > START CALL >ENTER > calibration test with reference
measuring > ENTER
Use the + keys to change the O2 values, comparing them with those
measured using the portable instrument > ENTER
CALIBRATING THE CO PROBE WITH THE
BURNER IN OPERATION (TK mode)
Enter parameter P896=1 (O2 regulator on)
With the burner on, STATUE enter PSW > 11
F2 message appears delete or modify O2 curve > (8) > (16) > 11
“correction” appears 50.0 KO 0.0
Press 5 and it appears: 50.0 TK
Change “correction input” values using the (2) and (3) keys, change
the figure 50.0. To reduce O2, use numbers bigger than 50. Reduce
O2 until CO forms and compare values with the portable instrument.
After completing regulation, set the value to 50.0 again and press
(4) to go from TK mode to KO > (11) > F3
If CO is formed at “correction input” values of less than 80 (see
parameters), this means the value set in the “Correction” Parameters
is too high and must be reduced (for example, from 300 to 250) and
then checked again.
LEARNING THE CO CURVE
After regulation, set burner operation to automatic (CO control must
learn the curve, reducing frequency until CO, > (17) is found, it will
appear: O2 I 2.2 -8c 0
I = indicates current value
2.2 = O2 value
-8 = step, varies continually and may be positive (+) or negative (-)
c = may be a small “c” or a capital “C”, depending whether load
decreases or increases
0 = CO value read
Test at different points on the load.
