OPERATING DESCRIPTION
Burner operation is fully automatic; it starts up by enabling the main
switch and the control panel switch.
The “lock-out” position is a safety position that the burner automatically
assumes when a burner or system component is not working properly.
Make sure that there are no faults in the heating plant before re-
activating the burner by "resetting it".
The burner may stay in the lock-out position without any time limits.
Lock-outs may also be caused by temporary faults; in these cases if it
is reset, the burner will start up without any difficulties.
Switching on the main switch of the electrical switchboard and if the
thermostats are on, voltage reaches the control box which then starts
up the burner.
This turns on the fan motor for preventilation of the combustion
chamber.
The ignition transformer then comes on, and some seconds later the
diesel cut-off opens.
The combustion air can be adjusted manually using the air damper
(see section “SWITCHING ON and REGULATION”).
The presence of the flame, detected by the control device, permits
continuation and completion of ignition, turning off the ignition
transformer.
If the flame is absent during operation, the control box repeats the
ignition cycle three times, which may be followed by a lock-out if the
flame is not detected.
The "safety lock-out" status is indicated by the red LED under the
reset button.
To reset the control box from its safety position, keep the reset button
-9 of the control box pressed in for 1 second.
If lockings continue to occur (3-4 times), do not continue with the
operation and, after having checked that the fuel arrives to the burner,
ask the intervention of the After-sales Service in your area.
CAUTION / WARNING
For the burners fitted with a preheater, motor activation
depends on the consent of the preheater thermostat.
