and
on the inside the vending cabinet. Please
insure that only qualified individuals use
and perform the functions in this guide. The
power to the ice maker should be turned off
during any and all parts of maintenance to
the Ice Maker unless qualified Technicians are
in test sequences that require Power.
Ice Maker will not power ON
1. Check Ice Maker Power
– Check power to the
Ice Maker by testing the 2 colored wires to white
wire on the back of the ice maker. You should
have 120 Volts on each leg. If not *
2. Control Board LED Power Light is Illuminated
-
If the
controlboardLED
power light is illuminated, the
ice maker has power. If after 10 minutes you do
not hear water running *
3. Control Board LED light is not illuminated
- If you do not see the
controlboardpowerLEDlight
illuminated, check for 120 volts between the
twist in fuse and the neutral. If you do not have
power, trace the brown wires to find the break
between the fuse and the incoming brown
wire. If this is not the problem, check if the relay
indicator light is “I”(ice maker) is
ON.
If not look
at PLC to insure that PLC “08” is showing on PLC
Display.

Ice maker is running water, but
compressor does not power ON
It is likely that the
floatvalve
has not notified that the
reservoir
is full of water. If the
floatvalve
is not operating
properly and does not notify the
controlboard
that the
reservoir is full, the
water
will run continuously not
allowing the ice making process to continue.
1. Drain Separation
- If the
reservoir
of the ice maker
becomes separated, the water may be flowing
straight to the
drain
. When the ice maker is
cleaned, it can be knocked loose. Ensure that the
drain
is assembled correctly and only water from
the overflow is exiting the reservoir.
2. Drain “O” Ring Separation
– If the
“O”
-ring
slides up the
bypass
tube
, the water may be flowing
straight to the
drain
. When the ice maker is
cleaned, it can be shifted upward, allowing water
to leak out. Ensure that the
drainisassembledcorrectly,
and only water from the overflow is exiting the
reservoir
3. Unplug the
Float valve connector
–
Unplug
the
float
valve
from the control board and connect an OHM
Meter to the leads. Remove the float valve, and
reaching up from the bottom, push the
Float
up
and down. The OHM Meter should close when
you push up, and reopen when you let go. If it
does not, if the
float
sticks and does not return
to the full position, clean it by removing and
soaking in a solution of
scaleremover
for 1 to 2 hours
and retest. If the compressor still fails, replace
with a new
floatvalve
.
