Electrical & Plumbing
•
Most municipalities will require that you hire a
licensed electrician and plumber to connect the
electrical & plumbing to your ice vending ma
chine insuring the installation location meets all
state building codes.
•
Have the electrician and the plumber refer to
the technical specifications on the Utility docu-
ment provided to you by your salesperson.
•
Do not let the contractors install power poles or
other items closer than 4 foot from your vend
ing machine. Space is required to remove ac
cess panels once your vending machine is
installed.
•
It is in your best interest to insist your licensed
electrician & plumber pull permits for all work
being done in relation to your vending ma
chine. If poor workmanship causes your ma
chine to fail, it will not be considered warranty
work and you will be responsible for all parts
and labor to bring your machine back to work
ing order.
Drainage
Drainage from your ice vending machine does
not contain any contaminated waste products
and it is not required to be sent to a sewer. It is
recommended that you transport drainage to a
French Drain or another location in order to pre-
vent mold from growing on the ground around
the machine and to prevent slippage. Guidelines
for Ice & Water Vending Machines
Equipment Requirements
Storage for chemicals for cleaning, sanitizing,
and maintenance must be stored to prevent
contamination of water, ice, equipment and ice
bags. Cleaning items, mops and brooms, must
be stored off the floor. Hand sanitizer & paper
towels should stored onsite.
Labeling
Bags must be properly labeled as according to
your state laws
Records
Keep Cleaning & Sanitation Standard Operating
Procedures (SSOP), Boil Water Notice Policy, and
two years maintenance & water/ice test results
on premises.
Concrete Pad
• If your installation location requires that a con-
crete pad be poured, make sure that you make
the pad bigger than the base of the machine
by 2” on each side. This will give the concrete
enough structure to allow the anchors to be
installed.
• Insist that the concrete contractor show you
that the pad is level.
• Concrete contractor should refer to technical
specifications on the on the Utility docu-
ment provided to you by your salesperson.
