Measurement
Flow Direction
Flow direction lets you set the meter to measure forward flow only (uni-
directional) or both forward and reverse flow (bidirectional).
Unidirectional means that the flow is totalized in only one direction.
The flow direction is indicated by the arrow printed on the detector
label. In this mode, the two totalizers T1/T2 can be used as totalizers
and resettable day counters.
Bidirectional means the flow is totalized in both directions. The totalizer
T+ registers forward flow and the totalizer T-totalizes in reverse flow
direction. The net totalizer TN registers total flow and shows the
difference between T+ and T-.
A change of the flow direction can be signalized by the digital outputs.
Damping Factor
The damping factor establishes the stability of the measured flow
rate.Time constant can be set from “none” up to a max. of 30 seconds.
Note: Damping has no influence on the totalizers.
