You have three adjustment positions on the
harness. Use Position A for a smaller child, and
Position B or C for a larger child.
If using Position A, loop B and C must be
on top of the Belt Adjuster Plate (Fig. 31-1).
9. Inspect the Harness Straps from the front and
rear to ensure that they are not twisted. Twisted
straps can prevent proper tightening of the
Harness and thus may not adequately restrain
your child in a sharp turn, sudden stop or crash.
10. Before using the Safety Seat, please pull on the
Harness Straps from the front to ensure that
they are securely reattached.
11. When your harness is set at the correct childs position, attach the
excess harness straps with the hook and loop on the rear side
(Fig. 31-2).
NEVER
route webbing over the release bar (Fig. 31-3).

5.9 Low Birth Weight Adjustment
The Crotch Shortening clip is only to
be used with children who’s weight is
between 4-10 lbs if the gap between
the buckle and thigh is not between 1/2”
and 1”. The crotch strap length should
be adjusted such that a gap of 1/2” to
1” is present between the ears of the
buckle, and the top of the child’s thigh,
disregarding any clothing or diaper (Fig.
32-1). Your child will grow very quickly
so always check that the buckle is the
proper height whenever placing your
child in the Safety Seat. The crotch
strap length is adjusted as follows:
1a.
Stored Shortening Clip:
The
shortening clip is stored on the back of
the carrier (Fig. 32-2). To thread and
unthread as needed see the diagram
(Fig. 32-3).
1b.
Threading And Unthreading The
Shortening Clip:
To unthread the
metal stamping push the strap from
the side and slide it through the center
opening. Repeat for the other side.
1c. Flip over and repeat step 1.
