OPERATION
Only use high quality charcoal or briquettes.
Only use a charcoal lighter.
The grill must be heated and the charcoal glowing for at least 30 minutes before cooking on it for
the first time.
Light one or two charcoal lighters with a match and place them on a sparsely arranged charcoal or
briquette bed.
Leave the charcoal lighters for 2 to 4 minutes and then add the rest of the charcoal/briquettes.
After 15 to 20 minutes white ash starts to form on the charcoal. The embers have then reached
their optimum temperature.
Spread the charcoal evenly in the fire barrel.
Place the grill rack in position and start grilling.
The bowl should not be more than 3/4 full. The charcoal must never touch the grill rack. If the bowl is
overfilled, it will be damaged quickly due to overheating and the temperature will be too high for correct
grilling.
MAINTENANCE
Regular cleaning extends the life of the grill. Do not use abrasive materials as these can damage
the surface finish.
Normal cleaning requires just a damp cloth and detergent.
Use enamel cleaner if the grill surfaces are hard to clean.
Never use abrasive products or steel wool to clean the heating element and water receptacle.
Wear gloves to avoid burns when lifting off the rack after grilling.
Store the grill under a cover or in a dry place under a roof when not in use.
